Just tahan lor.

Ever since i watched Boeing Boeing the last time, i've had this thing with W!LDRICE plays. They're most probably good! :)

So with great intent, i'd like to be able to catch this:

They're having a 20% early bird discount. If $$ happens to pop up from somewhere, then maybe i'll be able to buy the tix. Otherwise, i'll just have to forgo this one. :( Yeah, i'm that broke.

I need a facial, a good scrub down, a massage, a body wrap, a manicure and pedicure... I need a break!

But no money. So how? Just tahan lor. :/

The Most Disliked Person In The Household

I hate dislike am not fond of my brother.

For the first few years of his life, he was sent to his Nanny's house to be taken care of. He was ok at first, then (God knows what they taught him!) he grew to be naughtier by the years.

If i was a parent, i would not be particularly fond of the idea of not being there for my child during the most important nuturing stages of his life. It is a time when you are able to bond with your child, and discipline him the right way.

Most of you may argue that since we all work these days, we wouldn't have time to take care of our children, therefore it's a better idea to pay someone else to take care of him for you. Right?

No.

If you don't have time to look after your child, or don't have enough money to support the household expenses should you not work after the birth of your child, then my question would be -- why have a child in the first place?

Seriously!

Some people just don't think. And yes, openly, i am referring to my parents.

I was born in year X, my sis was born in year X+2, and my brother was born in year X+8. How big a gap is that? And i haven't even started mentioning about my youngest sister who was born in year X+11! (I'll talk about her later if i have the time...)

If they had really planned for a child, then why so long? Since they have already waited for so long, then why not just be contented with the two brats that they had already? When you found out that you were with child, why did you not abort the child? Yes, it may be against our Catholic beliefs, but it really is a lifelong commitment that we are talking about here. WHY?!

My Mum is ignorant of alot of things. For example, she thinks that the pee and the period, all come out from the same hole. Hey, poop also starts with "P" too but it has his own hole!

So maybe Mum thought that if she were to have an abortion done, she would probably have to sacrifice her own life for it. After all, as the infamous threat goes "a life for a life".

Frankly, i didn't really like the Nanny. She speaks Mandarin and she's really square.

I don't particularly have anything against people who are chinese-educated, but rather people who are square (think big thick specs and short maggi mee hair). As i can see from the way my brother was being brought up, the facts are all in my sight.

Anyway, back to my point.

Dad recently bought my brother a computer because he kept pestering my Dad to give him one. He does not study hard, he throws his clothes at the (GASP!) doorway when he comes back home, he pees on my toilet seat, all amongst other things. If i were to list out everything, i wouldn't have to sleep tonight at all! We have bills to pay. We owe several banks lots of money. Yeah. And he STILL bought a computer for my brother.

Sounds like a good thing, eh? But no, it is not.

Firstly, since God knows when, we have got 3 computers in the house. Mine being the oldest, followed by my brother's then my 2nd sister's. So we don't share computers.

Since mine is the oldest (P2 455MHz), dad passed the 2nd oldest computer to me. Grr. But hey, this is still not my main point today.

My main point today hovers around my Mum's constant giving-in to my brother.

Weeks ago, i saw her typing letter after letters to my brother's teacher to excuse his absence from school because she either failed to wake him up, or that he was not feeling well (which we all know is bull shit).

**

Can you believe i fell asleep while typing this? Haha. Good Morning Peeps!

**

Yesterday, my mum told me that she needed to use the car at 4pm, all because she needed to be at my brother's school for the umpteenth time to see his teacher.

It's alright to sleep in class. I remember doing it too. But it's definitely not alright to cover up for your son when he fails to wake up to go to school. It's ok to turn a deaf ear on the teacher when the lesson gets boring. But it's not ok to not study when your exams are around the corner, and thereafter failing them causing you to repeat your studies for that year. My brother is even trying to persuade my parents to let him drop out of secondary school! Ha!

I've been there, done that. It's a terrible feeling and i can bet you that you won't wanna go thru it if you can. Trauma.

What are you gonna do if you don't have a cert? Become a road-side sweeper? A factory worker? Or sell drugs for a living? TELL ME!

My parents never planned for children and i really have an inkling that the 4 of us were just pure accidents. They didn't buy insurance for us, and was only until my teenage years that they did, but thereafter cancelled the insurance because we ran into debt at one point and couldn't pay the premiums. Things went downhill after that silly career move by my Dad.

Not that Mum is any better. She refuses to upgrade her skills and accept promotions (because there is more work and greater responsibility with it), go in search for better job prospects, or do anything else to try and keep the family expenses going. If there was any consolation, her long service award would be it. 30 years in the same company, same job, same enviroment.

How can anyone tahan? They don't even reward her enough for her long service to the company!

I HATE IT!

I hate that my family is so screwed. I hate my parents for not planning. I hate this and i hate that. I hate myself for not being able to study harder. I would have graduated with a degree and be working by now if i had taken the correct path!

If only. Sigh.

I would probably be saving my dollars now just to buy myself a Franck Muller Totally Crazy watch!

So yeah, you just heard my sob story. Isn't there someone out there who shares my woes too?

The NYP Tammy Sex Scandal

Hmm. Maybe the whole issue is getting a little bit out of hand right now.

According to the yahoo search results i got, http://jasperthedummy.blogspot.com and http://xialanxue.blogspot.com have published their side of the information on the story.

The victim is (according to reports on websites) Tammy. I did some check on the NYP Student Directory, and found only 1 Tammy whose surname is LEONG to be a student who was admitted into the NYP in 2004, specialising in Information Technology.

However, sad to say, Tammy's surname is not LEONG. According to some sites, they have labelled her surname as TAY and that she does not have the name Tammy in her passport.

This dear girl happens to also be in the cheerleading team, and got her phone stolen because someone in her team was jealous of her success and popularity.

What bullshit this is!

Truth be told, if school were still on, for curiosity's sake, i'd be prowling all the corridors just to see or to hear about this girl, Tammy. Luck is on her side, as it's the semestral exams and we don't have to go school unless we have got a paper on.

If what was posted in websites pertaining to this matter to be true (i haven't read about it in any local newspapers yet -- which was why Mars is still more homely than Earth), and NYP really is going to take action against the victim, the board of directors must truly be blind.

Let's look at the facts (as reported) and not be too quick to judge.

Victim loses phone because it was stolen by jealous foe, then Foe decides to distribute the Victim's personal property. NYP wants to expel the..VICTIM!

You must be wondering what is going through their minds. Yeah, me too.

It is not known if the Foe had already known that the Victim had such files in her phone. Let's just assume now that the Foe didn't know.

What's against the Foe right now:

1. Stealing a phone - Theft.
2. Illegal distribution of private property, irregardless of whether it is to make profit or otherwise.
3. Illegal distribution of pornography in Singapore.

What's against the Victim right now:

1. Performed oral sex to bf - Act of unnatural sex which does not lead to the actual intercourse, whether consensual or not (we assume now that sex did not occur since it was not mentioned anywhere that i could find).
2. As a result of the situation, has defamed school's reputation - therefore the school may be obliged to expel her.

But it's just crap. Everyone needs second chances. If you happen to be an NYP official reading this site, i urge you to please expel the Foe, and not the Victim. The Victim doesn't deserve any unjust treatment from you.

Pls Refer To Daphne's Blog Post

Hmm. I think i must have be living in Mars or something for the past 2 yrs and 5 mths that i've spent in NYP.

With reference to Daffy's blog post, i haven't heard of any NYP sex video to begin with. There seems to be some distribution of a sex video all over the net.

But that's wierd. Cos i haven't heard of it (or anything remotely like it) despite my love for porn (oops!).

(I'll bet my last dollar that people are gonna swarm into this site because of the meta keywords: SEX, VIDEO, PORN! Hahaha)

Hmm, could it be making it's way to fame -- a fame far more (in)famous than paris hilton's? I wonder.

Ah. Or maybe she might be an Annabel Chong in the making -- aspiring to get hundreds of people lining up just to bed you for that Guinness World record. For the note, i admire that woman, and i even have a t-shirt from Local Brand to show my love for her! :)

But it's sad, isn't it? I mean, imagine making your own private vid, someone stealing your phone, then that person distributes your vid for the whole world to see. It's humiliating!

Here is what's swirling in my head:

1. If the phone was stolen, and the person distributes the stuff over the net, wouldn't someone be able to trace where it originates from?

2. When the person decided to distribute the stuff over the net, didn't he/she use his/her brains and think of the consequences, or could it be his aim to profit from being the sole distributor?

3. If the girl really wanted to keep her stuff private, why didn't she just save it to her computer and burned it into a vcd or something?

Dumb, isn't it?

I personally feel it is terribly mean to find a phone and not attempt to return it to its proper owner. If he/she stole the phone, it's even worse -- i don't have to elaborate.

It's one thing to be mean by not returning the item, but it's rude to go through someone else's personal stuff, and even more cruel to distribute other people's property to people you don't know.

Argh. It's sick!

So annoying...

Don't you just annoyed when someone asks you for information, you reply and that person just doesn't have the courtesy to say a simple "thank you"?

I do. HMPF!

Picture blog!

I know i haven't put a picture up in YEARS... So here goes a story about my dinner yesterday...

**

Daryl and i had dinner at

Wah Lok

yesterday. Lucky shit aren't we? (We had dinner at Grand Shanghai at the building beside Copthorne Waterfront the same time last year...) As we walked through the passageway to the restaurant table, we passed by a row of

awards

. That's how famous and accredited this restaurant is! Our dinner there was sponsored by a lovely friend of ours who won 20K in gambling during the cny period. And i specially curled the ends of my hair for the occasion too! Don't you love

my hair

too? Oh well, so we were the second couple to arrive. The first was big boss and Cyn. We were thirsty, so we opened the bottle of wine and drank it. As you can see, Cyn looks

happy

drinking the wine. Well, she'd better be. Cos this is a $150-a-bottle Chilean wine that big boss brought. Ok, he brought 3 bottles of it anyway. I can't remember the name of the wine (think it sounds something like Lawson), but it sure was GOOD... We kept drinking it as though it were a glass of plain water!

It had hints of vanilla, and wasn't spicy nor sour nor dry. The wine slip down my throat like it was on Subarashii (the Fantasy Island slide...). It was perfect!

After everyone had arrived, we asked them to serve the dishes. First we had a

-- which was a deep fried prawn with potato sauce and a bbq prawn ball. Yummy! Then we had a

-- suckling pig that was so nice and crispy. The meat didn't taste like pork at all.. It tasted like chicken! Anyway, we ate the pig skin with

-- some egg-looking pancakes. Cute! :) After that came the

-- braised fish with beancurd. The fish was very fresh and very soft! And the

-- deep fried tofu with crab meat and spinach. The next dish wasn't my cuppa cos as you can see

i don't eat brocolli and neither do i eat top shell. So this is Daryl's plate you're looking at (i passed mine all to him). The second last dish was the

-- ee-fu noodles with half of the suckling pig and the

-- porridge was cooked with the other half. You can imagine how full we were when we tried to stand and leave the restaurant after that! The dinner was so lovely that Daryl said he wouldn't wanna eat at other chinese restaurant again!

In case you're thinking of dining there, it's Wah Lok Restaurant at Carlton Hotel, and the bill for the 10 of us came up to $470 after a 15% UOB card discount.

Oh well, but back to reality, we don't have the money and neither do we intend to print. So we'll just have to grin and eat our local Zhi Char until the same time again next year... Hahaha...

Yummmm

I had Beef Noodles, BBQ Chicken Wings, Sambal Stingray and Black Pepper Lobster for dinner last night with Daryl. Yum! :D

I made dessert yesterday - a chocolate fondant cake. Daryl said it was fantastic, but i think i added too much flour. Hmm. But hey, valrhona chocolate tastes good anytime! Hehehe..

Well, it's not really about the food actually, it's about the person you were with yesterday. Hope you had a great time too.

Where are you going tonight?

Happy V-Day Everyone!

I just don't know

It's so wierd that my posts these days have been..discounted. Discounted in the sense that while i used to write posts that spanned 5 paragraphs on the average, i now write posts which have only a line, and on better days, they complete a paragraph.

*

I first dabbled with computers when i was just a lil girl of 9 years old or so. Daddy played with MSDOS and he taught me how to use it too. (Me and my sister had lessons at home! Haha.)

There was the pac-man game then, but our favourite game was still the Prince of Persia! Wonder if anyone would remember that game.. Hmm... We had to go through 20 levels of fighting the "ba yi" (turban head) men then save the princess in the end. There was a cheat code too that we used to skip levels. Heh heh ;) So fun!

Then daddy bought a modem. We could access this MS-DOS based site called "teleview" or something like it. It was kind of like an internet, however there were only singaporean sites that could be viewed and it was kinda boring cos the games were all chargable.

Hey wait. I suddenly remembered that i also used Lotus123 before Microsoft Excel came about, and yes... i have used the REAL 5 1/4" FLOPPY DISKS before! Hahaha. This is so funny!

Windows 3.1 was out. And we started using the new operating system. It sure was fun cos everything could be clicked on with just a move of my mouse with a ball. Hahaha. Daddy soon bought a black and white scanner. It was expensive and the picture quality sucked big time, but the good news was that we were still in sync with technology!

So funny that i digressed from my original topic and yep, i shall stop here because there isn't much to write about the change in technology anymore. Back to the topic on blogging.

*

The internet became big when i was still in secondary school. And check how wierd is this -- i signed up for a guestbook at geocities before i even had a homepage going. All my friends who were older than me kept asking "so where's your homepage?" and i had to reply "i only have a guestbook, so please sign there for the time being!"

I started writing online web logs before blogger came in..it should date back to the year 2000 when i had just mastered the art of typing the markup language html.

And i started writing only because i thought it to be interesting to publish my thoughts on my own website. Back then, the only free web hosting site was Geocities, as far as i knew. I also remembering using a free cjb.net service to cloak the long url.

My lecturer forced us to learn the hard code way before we were introduced to the magnificent godsend program, Macromedia Dreamweaver 4 (I'm using Dreamweaver 8 now already!). Thereafter, my webpages slowly evolved.

After i heard about blogger, i signed up for it, and voila! Here i am, telling my grandmother stories. I took an hour recollecting memories for today's post. But it still cannot be compared to the times when i actually took 3 hours to compose a long long long long long post.

But hey, i had an audience to write to then. I remember scoring hits of at least a hundred daily. Soon after, i had people telling tales behind my back, and wierdos who took my pictures off my site to post them in the sggirls forum. How lame is that!

Then, i stopped blogging. I changed my blog address but continued posting to my only audience, myself. But what the heck, i changed blog address (think i did that for a few times) and here i am, once again, trying to regain my former glory.

But it isn't possible anymore. Firstly, i don't just tell ANYBODY my blog address. Secondly, i don't write with as much passion as before. Thirdly, my posts just aren't juicy enough. My life has become mundane. My girlfriends have their boyfriends to go to, and don't have time for me anymore. I don't model anymore cos i'm fat. No money, no motivation.

What am i to do after i graduated? I don't know my direction. I change my mind every minute. Daryl urged me to join sg idol. I kept thinking "nah". Then at 7.30pm yesterday, i was half-hearted to take part in it today! At 8pm, i decided against it. It's just too humiliating for me.

Ah. I feel like a wreck.

The only good news is that i think my cousin joined and got in!

Lard.

Went to riverside indonesian restaurant today for dinner... And i met my primary and secondary school classmate Cheryl Haruhi Yip!!! :D

Then we caught the show Casanova. Not bad! You guys should catch it if you can.

*Hints at all those flirty people out there!*

Is it you?

Someone somewhere is hiding something from me.

I'm feeling betrayed.

Angry.

Whatever you may call it.
